Calibration Procedures:

 

1. Insert Microphone: Carefully insert the microphone of the sound level meter into the coupler section of the SC-942.

 

2. Set Sound Level Meter: Adjust the sound level meter to a range suitable for measuring either 94 dB or 114 dB.

 

3. Select Calibration Level: Set the "OFF/94 dB/114 dB" switch to either the "94 dB" or "114 dB" position to produce a pure 1000 Hz tone.

 

4. Adjust Calibration: Adjust the calibration VR (knob) of the sound level meter until the display shows exactly 94.0 dB or 114.0 dB.
